Overview
How is this copy used?
Breadcrumbs are a secondary navigation system that shows users their current location on a website. Typically appearing at the top of a page, they display a hierarchical path to the current page. They help users understand the site's structure, reducing confusion and the likelihood of them getting lost.
Breadcrumbs are best kept short and sweet, with their location on the page along with the use of the back chevron acting as sufficient affordance to the user that a certain page is linking back. Avoid adding unnecessary words such as “back to ___” or “see all ____”.
Breadcrumbs are written in all caps or title case. See Capitalization.
